How RAG Works

When you upload a document, the system breaks it into chunks and converts each chunk into a vector embedding — a mathematical representation of its meaning. When you ask a question, the system retrieves the most semantically similar chunks and passes them to the language model with your question. The model generates an answer grounded in your actual text, not its training data.

The public demo uses Groq for demonstration speed. Production deployments run entirely on your own infrastructure — on-premise or private cloud. Documents never leave your network.
